Thanks to a first try scored by Anthony Jelonch, the XV of France took control of the match on Friday, and never let them go.

It’s a crucial match for the Blues who dream of a triumph in the Six Nations Tournament. After three victories in as many games, the XV of France challenged Wales in the boiling Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Friday March 11. A real offensive machine, the French team put on their defensive clothes to keep their advantage gained very early on, and win (13-9).

9th minute: Jelonch concludes a beautiful movement

After just nine minutes, French wing third line Anthony Jelonch scored the first try of the match at the end of the first long streak in the Welsh side.

It all started with a nice boost from the back of Perpignan Melvyn Jaminet after a Welsh kick. Several playing times later, well helped by the successive thrusts of Marchand and Willemse, the same Jaminet found himself at the end of the line. From a perfectly played two against one, he sent Anthony Jelonch into the in-goal. The test was transformed by Jaminet. It will be the only one of the meeting.
