Every year, organizations that use the values of sport to improve the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups receive recognition from the European Commission with the #Beinclusive EU Sport Awards.
The goal? The awards promote innovative ideas and initiatives among other organizations and individuals across Europe. The winning projects are presented as examples of good practice in the field of inclusion and non-discrimination.
Apply now in one of the 3 categories:
- Promoting gender equality in sport: reward projects that promote the empowerment and participation of women and girls in sport. This category will celebrate role models who make gender equality a reality by setting an inspiring example
- Sport for peace: rewarding projects using sport as a vehicle for promoting peace and European values. This category will particularly target initiatives to promote the inclusion of refugees, for example in the context of the war in Ukraine.
- Breaking down barriers in sport: rewarding projects that show inspiration, setting positive examples of empowerment and role models of groups with fewer opportunities that scale up and lead change
The winner and runners-up (ranked second and third) in each category will be announced at an awards ceremony. Each winner will receive EUR 10,000 and each finalist will receive EUR 2,500.
Application deadline : September 29, 2022
