Recalls of over 26,000 vehicles from BMW, Renault, Porsche and other companies


SEOUL, Aug. 25 — BMW Korea, Renault Korea, Porsche Korea and three other companies will carry out voluntary recalls of more than 26,000 vehicles to fix faulty components, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Thursday. .

The six companies, along with Stellantis Korea, Ford Sales Service Korea and Toyota Motor Korea, will recall a total of 26,499 units of 48 different models, the ministry said.

The issues include a possible PCV valve overheating on the 528i and 29 other BMW models and faulty seat belt locking screws on the 530i and nine other BMW models.

Concerning 3,279 Master 3 from Renault Korea, the manufacturer has increased the fuel consumption figures. There is also a possible dashboard software malfunction for 2.480 Tycan. As for 247 Peugeot 508 1.5 BlueHDi, the engine may suddenly turn off due to a potentially faulty signal between the electronic control unit (ECU) and the automatic transmission.

The owners of the cars concerned will be able to benefit from a repair service in the garages of the car manufacturers.
