A few days ago, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif announced that he was exchanging his doctor’s equipment for his football equipment.
The one who was named one of Sports Illustrated’s Personalities of the Year 2020 mentioned it in a touching post on his social networks.
His experience in CHSLDs in Quebec marked him in a way he could never have imagined.
Now that his Chiefs’ season kicks off in a few months, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif needs to get in as good shape as possible in order to become the dominant offensive lineman he once was.
Watching him train to lift a load of 435 pounds without too much difficulty, we are not at all worried about him. What brute force!
3 things come to mind after seeing his training:
- He is strong in ti-pepére
- Its patio is really solidly made
- 435 pounds, it’s still lighter than the fish he caught on his trip to Gaspé last year

Welcome back to the competition Laurent and thank you for everything you did during the pandemic!
