Ray McCallum, a former NBA player until the end of the season at Gravelines in Betclic Elite
Twelfth in Betclic Elite, Gravelines was looking for a new leader after the foot injury of Brandon Taylor, absent for at least six weeks. On Friday, the northern club announced the recruitment until the end of the season of Ray McCallum (1.91 m, 30 years old).
The Californian has a nice CV with 154 matches in the NBA (Sacramento, San Antonio and Memphis) between 2013 and 2016 (6 pts and 2.4 pd on average), then a season and a half of Euroleague with Malaga and Darussafaka Istanbul in 2017 to 2019 (9.3 pts, 3.2 pd).
But then he had more brief and delicate experiences, wandering from Spain to China via Israel, Germany and the G-League (NBA Development League). He comes out of a freelance of four matches in Fuenlabrada (Spain) where he did not particularly shine. Gravelines will be his eighth club in three years.
