Rangers, Tottenham target Sam Johnstone on his future
Johnstone told Metro: “There has been a lot of talk this summer. It (a transfer) just didn’t happen and we are trying our best to get promoted again this year. This is the only goal.
“I see the speculation and there is nothing I can do about it. It’s out of my control but I want to come back and play in the Premier League.

Hard blow for Rangers, encouraging for Tottenham
In our opinion, Johnstone’s comments are a blow to Rangers, but they are very encouraging for Tottenham.
Johnstone previously played in the Premier League with West Brom.
And it’s really not hard to see why he would want to play in the division again.
Most professional footballers would love to play in the Premier League.
Rangers are unlikely to be able to sign Johnstone.
Tottenham are a huge club, and Johnstone could be tempted to move to the north London club if he makes an offer for him.
