Kiosk 360. Raja’s opponent in the African Supercup, Al Ahly has requested CAF authorization to add new players to his African list. The Raja would see no problem in this approach. Especially since the date of this match has yet to be fixed, according to the daily Al Massae from which this press review is taken.
Egyptian club Al Ahly has made an official request to the African Football Confederation and Raja to update the list of their players who will play in the CAF Cup. The future opponent of Raja in the CAF Supercup intends to add several new players to his list, informs the daily Al Massae from Friday November 26.
Al Ahly’s new list, if accepted, will include South African Percy Tau, Mozambican Jose Miquissone, Houssam Hassan, Karim Fouad, as well as Ahmed Abdelkader and Omar Hamdi who are returning from a loan.
Raja has every interest in accepting Al Ahly’s request, especially since several players on the list to play this final are no longer there because of their departure to other clubs, as is the case with Mohamed Bouamira , Mohamed Douik and Ayoub Nanah.
Other players are on the African list, but they have failed to convince either the former coach, Lassaad Chabbi, or the current one, Marc Wilmots. They are Badr Boulahroud, Abdeljalil Jbira, or even Mohamed Makaazi.
For the moment, CAF has not yet set the schedule to play the Supercup, and Al Ahly, the defending champion, has offered CAF to play this match between 22 and 24 December next.
The Egyptian club, a nine-time finalist, aims to win its 8th final and the second in a row, the last of which won against the Renaissance of Berkane. Raja has two Supercopa victories.
