Quaker State 400 - Event Overview

Find a presentation of the nineteenth event of the 2022 championship in the NASCAR Cup Series, the Quaker State 400 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Atlanta Motor Speedway got a makeover ahead of the first race of the season in March. The track is now narrower, but also steeper. After Daytona and Talladega, Atlanta Motor Speedway is now considered the third superspeedway type track.

Last March, William Byron won and allowed Hendrick Motorsports to take their record to 15 victories on this oval. This Sunday, he could become the twelfth driver to win two consecutive races at this track.

With thirteen different winners in eighteen races, there are still three places to be allocated for the playoffs. Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney are three former winners on this track who have yet to find their way to the Victory Lane This year.
