Premier League darts: Gerwyn Price changes his promenade music for Night 10 in Manchester | Darts News – NewsRaiser
Gerwyn Price will be ready to ‘roar’ at Manchester’s AO Arena on Thursday night
Gerwyn Price has changed his promenade music as he embarks on a Play-Off push in the second half of the Premier League season.
Price will walk Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ on stage at the AO Arena in Manchester on Thursday as he takes on Peter Wright in a crucial Premier League clash.
Ahead of the new track’s debut, the Welshman, who traditionally left Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice Ice Baby’, revealed that the inspiration for the new track came from a family outing.

Before winning her second Grand Slam title, Price explained the story behind her walk-on and hinted at a song change in the future.

« I was driving home with the family after we went out for a meal in Cardiff and ‘Roar’ popped up, » Price explained.
« We were all singing to it and I liked the rhythm of the music, so I thought ‘why not make the switch?’
“I listened to the lyrics and I think they suit me and my game, hopefully it can give me a good start in the Premier League. »

Price currently sits sixth in the Premier League, four points off the top four places in the Play-Offs after a knock and miss in the first half of the campaign.
« We’re only halfway through the season and no one has stood out, » continued Price, who had two nine-dart finishes in a single night in Belfast.
“It’s the second half of the season now, so it’s time for me to get going and reach the Play-Offs, which I’m sure I will do.
“It will only take a few night wins to get into the top four. My form is coming back and I feel confident in the way I play.
“My wrist injury is only two weeks old, and I can’t wait to be fully healed so I can get back to playing every week. »

The other quarter-finals will see Michael van Gerwen take on Jonny Clayton, while Gary Anderson is set to take on James Wade and Joe Cullen will play Michael Smith.
