According to information from The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, Chelsea have dismissed their commercial director Damian Willoughby, accused by an employee of the London club of sexual harassment.
Chelsea are having a complicated start to the season. The Blues occupy a sad 7th place after 7 days of the championship and have already been defeated twice. In the Champions League, the London club has still not won a single match after two outings (1 loss and a draw). Poor results which also caused the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel replaced by Graham Potter. And if all goes wrong on the sporting level, off the field, the situation does not seem to be the best either.
Indeed, according to The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea have fired their commercial director Damian Willoughby. The information was confirmed daily by the club itself. He was fired because of a series of « inappropriate posts », sent to Catalina Kim, who collaborates with the London club. The latter has also filed a complaint against Willoughby, stating that she had been sexually harassed by him, even before his appointment to Chelsea at the beginning of September, and that she had felt threatened on the phone since he works there.
Chelsea is therefore not evolving in a calming climate at the moment to be able to go up the slope. The international break, which began this week, is therefore a sting for the London club, which can try to resolve its internal problems to focus on the sporting side of the recovery. The Toed Bolhy era, the new owner of Chelsea, did not begin in the best of ways.
