After unveiling the first pictures of its LMDh last December, the German firm Porsche launched hostilities on the Weissach track in Germany, with French driver Frédéric Makowiecki on board. These are the very first laps of the German prototype, with a view to the IMSA and WEC championships next year, where Porsche and Team Penske will collaborate.

“To be honest, it was a very positive start, declared the French pilot after this day of testing. We were able to do a few laps and find that the car works as expected. Now we have a good starting point to move forward. »

For his part, Thomas Laudenbach, vice-president of the motorsport branch of the brand, admits to being « Very proud of this milestone in the development process of our new WEC and IMSA team for 2023. »

According to our information, the LMDh prototype should run again at Daytona (United States), after the 24 Hours (January 29 and 30) for a real intensive first run.
