Cock-a-doodle Doo ! A new French car tuner, Nardone Automotive, has unveiled its own modern interpretation of the Porsche 928 which it will market from 2024.

Appeared in 1977 and marketed until 1995, the Porsche 928 is a large GT with 4 real seats with an atypical personality. Long shunned, she returned to the front of the stage in recent years, having celebrated her 40th birthday in 2017.

While different preparers are focusing on different generations of the 911, none have offered a restomod on the Porsche 928. This is now done via Nardone Automotive, based in Aix-En-Provence and founded by Thierry Nardone – passionate about the so-called “transaxle” Porsches (924, 944, 928, 968). This 928 is his first project.

To realize his dream, Thierry Nardone has surrounded himself with partners of the highest level, true professional masters in the fields of design, interior trim, engineering, engine development: Studio BorromeodeSilva in Milan and Podium Advanced Technologies in Pont St. Martin, the same companies that designed and built the “Delta Integrale” of Automobili Amos.

The Porsche 928 has been modernized while keeping its original characteristics: sleek style, elegance, modernity. The 928 Restomod by Nardone Automotive is a refined and exciting GT that combines comfort, performance and luxury.

Since 2022, Nardone Automotive has been offering a series of modifications to the Porsche 928 to transform it into a special and bespoke GT: modification of the bodywork in composite materials with muscular fenders, specifically designed front and rear lights, 18-inch forged rims equipped of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires reinterpreting the old rims in 16 inches.

The interior has also been completely revised: upholstery in Foglizzo leather and Alcantara, infotainment integrating the Porsche Classic Management system (PCCM) associated with a luxury Hi-Fi system and Apple CarPlay.

From a technical point of view, the Porsche 928 from Nardone Automotive is powered by an eight-cylinder V developing 400 hp via a new ECU and coupled to the original 5-speed manual gearbox, modified to a manual version with 6 speeds with a limited slip differential. Finally, the chassis configuration uses redesigned front and rear axles and stub axles, active-control electronic suspension, larger brakes and adaptive electric power steering.
