Pole for McLaughlin in Portland

On the road circuit of Portland, it is the New Zealander of the Team Penske, Scott McLaughlin who signs the pole position in NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the Team Penske achieves the hat-trick.

Who will be able to stop Team Penske at Portland International Raceway this weekend? At the end of qualifying the answer could well be nobody, since the three pilots of Roger Penske set the first three times.

At the end of the Firestone Fast Six, Scott McLaughlin took pole position in the Grand Prix of Portland. The Team Penske rider lapped in 58.2349 seconds at an average of 121.412 mph. He will share the front row of the starting grid with Josef Newgarden.

When the team wins, we all win. I have to concentrate on what I have to do. If I can be ahead and take points from others and win the race, that’s exactly what we want. As long as it’s mathematically possible, I’ll give it my all.

This is Scott McLaughlin’s third pole position in INDYCAR after season opener St. Petersburg and Scott McLaughlin a few weeks ago.

Leader of the general classification, Will Power will start from the third row with the rookie Christian Ludgaard. Álex Palou and Pato O’Ward will be on the third row.

Five of the seven drivers in contention for the title battled it out for pole position in the Firestone Fast Six. The two exceptions are named Scott Dixon, as well as his teammate Marcus Ericsson. The two Chip Ganassi Racing drivers went out on the first lap. and will start sixteenth and eighteenth respectively.
