Thanks to a successful end to the game, the Boston Bruins got the better of the Carolina Hurricanes (5-2) and tied the game with a victory everywhere in the series.

The Boston Bruins have definitely not said their last word. Beaten twice on the ice by the Carolina Hurricanes to start the series, the New England players returned the favor. After their success in Game 3, the Bruins did it again this Sunday for the fourth game. Yet it was the Hurricanes who struck first through Brett Pesce. An advantage which however only lasted two minutes, the time for Patrice Bergeron to put Boston back up. A scenario that repeated itself in the second period. Jordan Staal restored the lead to Carolina 33 seconds after the game resumed. It was only at the very end of the third that Jake DeBrusk allowed the Bruins to equalize, taking advantage of a numerical superiority. The last 20 minutes were one-sided for the New England franchise. Taking advantage of a new « power play », Brad Marchand allowed the Bruins to take the lead for the first time in the game 44 seconds after the engagement. Barely five minutes later, David Pastrnak made the break. In the last minute, Brad Marchand went there with his double to conclude the meeting. With this victory (5-2), the Boston Bruins restart the series before returning to Raleigh for the fifth inning.
