Still looking for a left side to complete the Marseille transfer window, OM president Pablo Longoria is now heading towards Anderlecht’s Spanish side Sergi Gomez.
Already very busy this summer, Pablo Longoria will have to put on the warming blue again. Because the Marseille recruits do not give all satisfaction, and all the positions have not yet been filled, including that of left-back. In the system used by Jorge Sampaoli, the use of Gerson or Konrad as a piston has its limits, and the arrival of Sergi Gomez at the club could reshuffle the cards.
Indeed, the former nugget of Dortmund is making the heyday of Anderlecht in Belgium today, and was called by the selection Espoir de la Roja, a sign of progress which is gradually becoming impressive. So impressive that the Belgian championship will not be able to contain it for very long, especially as Pablo Longoria would have made Spanish his priority this winter. Estimated at three million euros, this transfer could represent a boon for Marseille management, especially if the player comes to confirm all his talent and the hopes placed in him. Anderlecht would, however, ask for more than double the Marseille offer according to some sources, and the deal will undoubtedly be difficult to find this winter.
