OM, two more recruits to come?
If OM have to speed up their transfer window in the direction of departures, the Longoria-Ribalta tandem would nonetheless remain active to further strengthen Igor Tudor’s workforce.
Already nine players have joined Marseille this summer – from Samuel Gigot to Alexis Sanchez via Isaak Touré, Chancel Mbemba, Jonathan Clauss, Luis Suarez, Ruben Blanco, Nuno Tavares and Jordan Veretout. And according to various indiscretions from the Commandery, the nerve center of the Olympians, the transfer window would not be completely closed for the Sky and White.
Two elements could still come to swell the ranks of Marseille, provided of course to reduce the fat a little. The Duje Caleta-Car, Konrad De La Fuente, Pol Lirola, Bamba Dieng and even Cédric Bakambu being called upon to change air, without forgetting the undesirable Kevin Strootman and Jordan Amavi who no longer even have access to the professional group.
If OM achieve their goals in the next three weeks, it is therefore a real brand new eleven that President Longoria will leave at the disposal of his Croatian coach Igor Tudor. The missing pieces correspond to a defender capable of moving in the left axis and a versatile attacker. Profiles answered by Eric Bailly and Gerard Deulofeu whose names resurface in the press this Thursday.

The first defends the colors of Manchester United since 2016 but played little last season outside the Ivorian selection. L’Equipe reveals in its edition of the day that the Marseille staff, which would have ruled out the Dan Axel Zagadou option, made contact with Eric Bailly two weeks ago with some effect on the person concerned. Only problem, the Red Devils want a dry transfer for a 28-year-old player estimated at 6 million euros today on Transfermarkt.
The second meanwhile is sent to OM by the Spanish sports daily AS, despite his two remaining years of contract at Udinese. Evaluated at 15 million euros, and probably also tracked by Villarreal, Napoli, Torino and Atalanta, Gerard Deulofeu scored 13 goals in 35 matches during the last exercise; and Pablo Longoria has been following him for a long time. The former Barcelonan, also 28, cannot however be an option for the current Marseille. Except departures of two attacking elements, in addition to a Konrad De La Fuente promised to Olympiacos. Bamba Dieng and Cédric Bakambu could bear the brunt of this new interest.
