OKX becomes official Manchester City training kit sponsor.
OKX extended its partnership with Manchester City Football Club and is now its official training kit sponsor for the 2022-23 season. The announcement further deepens the relationship between Manchester City and OKXwhich was announced last week as a partner of the trophy Team Tour 2022.

Manchester English football team City makes a new attempt at partnership crypto. The news comes qa few months later having severed ties with former sponsors. The club announced that the cryptocurrency platform OKX would be his official partner training kit for the coming season. The company will feature in both men’s and women’s first team training kits.
Additionally, the ad was accompanied by a series of artwork featuring Manchester players City. This include street artist Akse P19 and the new signing Erling Haaland from the global street art agency. As a reminder, OKX signed a sponsorship deal with Manchester for the first time City in March. This after the club severed ties with the former partner 3Key Technologies.
However, this experience does not seem to remove City of the cryptocurrency space. Thus, the director of operations of the club Roel of Vries declared that :
“OKX and City are aligned with values such as innovation and success, and for both parties, it all starts with training and education.

Cryptocurrencies and football
The sponsorship comes amid a crash in the cryptocurrency market. However, deep-pocketed crypto companies continue to promote their brands through sports sponsorships. Indeed, football teams have been looking into crypto partnerships and ventures in recent years.
For example, the First League filed two trademarks of crypto and NFT in the United States last month. Manchester City first launched in March 2021 when they launched the token $CITY for fans. Similar to blockchain company agreement OKX, Tezos sponsored training kits for another popular English football club, Manchester United.
Individual sports stars are also involved. Cristiano Ronaldo having signed a multi-year marketing agreement with the cryptocurrency company last month Binance which will create several NFT Ronaldo. Moreover, the popular footballer Lionel Messi recently partnered with the company crypto Socios.com.
