As expected, Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi has left Union Berlin to join Nottingham Forest, promoted to the Premier League.

Taiwo Awoniyi returns to England. Sold to Union Berlin by Liverpool after seven loans, the 24-year-old Nigerian international striker officially joins Nottingham Forest. The promoted club beat the competition to secure the services of the Super Eagle, Africa’s top scorer in the Bundesliga last season with 15 goals in 31 games.

A percentage for Liverpool

To secure his services, Forest had to pay the release clause of his recruit, estimated at around 20 million euros.
