No hockey games until January 9

Hockey Quebec has decided to suspend all federation-sanctioned matches until January 9, due to the upsurge in COVID-19.

This was announced in a statement released Tuesday morning. However, training is still permitted.

« Following Monday’s announcements and considering that all schools are closed until January 9, 2022, Hockey Quebec wishes, with this decision, to participate in the collective effort to curb the spread of the virus, while allowing our young people to remain active, ”the organization said in its letter.

Later in the day, Hockey Quebec’s general manager, Jocelyn Thibault, will hold a press briefing to discuss the issue.
