No criminal charges against Deshaun Watson
Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was facing criminal charges on sexual assault charges. But no criminal charges were brought against him on Friday by a jury in Texas.
For six hours, the elements of nine complaints, which had been filed (out of 10. The tenth was not processed), were presented and eight women who accused Watson (out of 22) testified. If the QB of Houston is no longer prosecuted on the criminal level, he will however have to face civil proceedings. And he could be subject to disciplinary proceedings by the NFL.
Last season, DeShaun Watson did not play, both because of the complaints that targeted him but also because he was in conflict with the Houston Texans, about a transfer he wanted. Watson has played in the NFL for five years and was an All Star three times.
