Nikita Mazepin sends packed baskets to her employees at Haas | F1only.fr

After his first season in Formula 1, the Russian Nikita Mazepin took the delicate care of sending all his employees at Haas a basket filled for the holiday season.

This season, the Haas team have not scored a single point in the world championship and thus end the 2021 campaign as a red lantern in the constructors’ standings. These poor performances are due to the fact that the American team decided last winter that they would not develop their 2021 single-seater in order to concentrate all their resources on the 2022 single-seater. Haas therefore had a complicated and good 2021 season. many staff have decided to leave the team as the season progresses.

On Mazepin’s side, the young Russian had to endure a lot of criticism even before the season began in March after being filmed making inappropriate gestures on a young girl at a party. The Haas pilot later apologized for his actions, but fans continued to criticize Mazepin on social media, with the youngster still suffering from a « daddy’s boy » image (his father’s company being the title sponsor of the team). During the season, Mazepin also stood out on the track when he had a few strong defense against his teammate Mick Schumacher, the two men narrowly avoiding several crashes.

Finally, on the eve of the last race of the season, Nikita Mazepin tested positive for Covid-19 and was therefore unable to participate in this final round of the year in Abu Dhabi with his team. Isolated several days since his positive test, Mazepin still wanted to thank all his employees by sending baskets filled for the end of year celebrations in the United States, Italy and the United Kingdom.
