Nice supporters banned from traveling to Ajaccio in Ligue 1

Nice fans are banned from traveling to Corsica on Sunday for the meeting between their club and AC Ajaccio counting for the 7th day of Ligue 1, a few days after violent incidents in Nice, announced the prefecture of Corse-du-Sud.

In a press release published Friday evening, the prefecture specifies that by order of the Ministry of the Interior,  » individual or collective travel, by any means” OGC Nice supporters will be banned between the Alpes-Maritimes and the island all day Sunday. This measure is taken in particular because of the numerous disturbances to public order following the violent behavior of certain supporters of the two clubs » recently.

In Nice on Thursday evening, during the Europa League Conference match between the Aiglons and FC Cologne, very violent incidents opposed supporters inside the stadium, also involving Parisian supporters, and causing 32 injuries. On the Corsican side, last Sunday, fights broke out at the airport between supporters of Ajaccio and Lorient, just after the match between the two teams, according to France 3 viastella.
