Nice formalizes the return of Lucien Favre

The Swiss succeeds Christophe Galtier on the bench of the Aiglons.

It was an open secret, it’s now official. Lucien Favre succeeds Christophe Galtier on the bench of OGC Nice. The Riviera club formalized the appointment of the Swiss on Monday afternoon, a few hours after the latter conducted his first training session on the occasion of the resumption of the Aiglons. Favre, who has already trained the Gym between 2016 and 2018, returns with Arjan Peço and Christophe Moulin in his luggage, who will complete the current staff of the first team.

« I am absolutely delighted to have Lucien Favre join usgreets club owner Jim Ratcliffe. He is an experienced coach, who has had success in the Bundesliga, but also here in Nice. Everywhere he aroused respect and admiration. We like the way he develops his teams and fits perfectly with the vision we have at INEOS of the style of play we want for OGC Nice.“Recall that Christophe Galtier, coach of the Aiglons last season, is strongly expected to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at PSG.
