Timo Meier has shone on his comeback after missing two matches with a lower body injury. Gaëtan Haas also distinguished himself with Edmonton by scoring his second goal of the season.

The Appenzell striker for the Sharks had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win on the ice at Anaheim.

Credited with an assist on the 1-0 signed Tomas Hertl (8th), Timo Meier scored the 4-0 in the 49th with a precise shot from the wrist. He now has 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in his personal counter in 22 games played during this 2020/21 financial year, or as many as Nino Niederreiter (17 points but in 26 games).

Haas marks solo

While the Sharks have chained 2 successes in a row for the first time this season, the Oilers notched their 4th consecutive victory (6-2 against Ottawa). Gaëtan Haas sealed the score in the 56th by scoring his 2nd goal of the season on a superb solo, while Connor McDavid (1 goal, 2 assists) reached the 50 point mark (51 now) in just 29 matches.
