Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander played in Game 1 of the series against the Tampa Bay Lightning despite suffering from food poisoning.
Nylander nevertheless made 4 shots on goal and distributed 1 check in 15 minutes 36 seconds spent on the ice, in the Maple Leafs 5-0 victory.
Nylander explained that he ate « bad sushi » for dinner, but « had to be ready » considering it’s the playoffs.
