NHL: Vancouver and Roussel return to Las Vegas

Tampa Bay and Vancouver, where the powerful Frenchman Antoine Roussel is playing, restored the balance to a victory everywhere in their semifinals of the Eastern and Western conferences, by beating respectively Boston (4-3), after extra time, and Las Vegas ( 5-2).

On the Vancouver side, the Canucks, with Antoine Roussel, reacted superbly to the Golden Knights, two days after their 5-0 loss in the first game, dominating the debates throughout.

Canadian Bo Horvat scored twice, after his compatriot Tyler Toffoli opened the scoring two assists for his return from injury (in the qualifying series in the first game against the Minnesota Wild).

Sweden’s Elias Pettersson and Tanner Pearson made the mark worse. On the Vegas side, the goals of Alex Tuch and Max Pacioretty did nothing. A reaction will be expected on Thursday.

Palat delivers the Lightning

It was the Czech Ondrej Palat who offered the winning goal to the Lightning in the extra period, yet snatched by the Bruins thanks to Brad Marchand, author of a double, four minutes from the siren. Two-time Russian Nikita Koutcherov and American Blake Coleman also scored for Tampa Bay.

“We were playing well enough not to be worried. I thought it was only a matter of time before we managed to add a goal. When you play well, it’s easy to stay positive ”, said the latter.
