The Chicago Blackhawks finally gave the forward a two-year contract extension Phillip Kurashev. After seeing his salary determined with a judge during an arbitration session, the Swiss will pocket USD 2.25 million per season. This is a big raise for Kurashev who was on USD 750,000 last season. 23-year-old Kurashev and his agent, Pat Brisson, have therefore succeeded in their showdown against the management of the team who thought to agree before arbitration by offering a lower salary. Last year, in 77 games, he obtained 25 points including 9 goals.
