NHL – Toronto takes on its new GM

The President and Alternate Governor of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Brendan Shanahantoday announced the appointment of Brad Treliving as general manager of the hockey club. Treliving becomes the 18th general manager in Maple Leafs history.

Treliving joins the Maple Leafs after spending the past nine seasons as general manager of the Calgary Flames. During his tenure in Calgary, the Flames posted a regular season record of 362-265-73. Treliving was also co-general manager of Canada’s 2016 IIHF World Championship team, which won gold in Russia.

During his playing career, the Penticton, BC native played professionally for five seasons in the AHL, ECHL and IHL after playing in the BCJHL and WHL as a junior.
