NHL STATS – Drew Doughty (33) gets better with age

Regular season

Los Angeles Kings–St. Louis Blues: 7-6

Adrian Kempe (2-0-2) scored two of his team’s seven goals – including five in the first period alone – while Drew Doughty scored the game-winning goal to help the Kings resist a comeback attempt by the Blues and extend their scoring streak to 12 games, setting a franchise record. Los Angeles (43-20-10, 96 points) closed within two points of Pacific Division-leading Vegas (46-21-6, 98 points).

  • Doughty scored his 30th career game-winning goal, passing Rob Blake for the most in Kings history by a defenseman and for sole possession of seventh place on the franchise’s all-skater roster. In doing so, Doughty (33 years, 108 days) also became the oldest long-distance player to record a three-goal streak with Los Angeles, surpassing Jaroslav Modry (31 years, 251 days; 4 GP in 2002/03).
