The Islanders (10-4-0) and Kraken (9-1-1), two of the five winningest teams in November, will look to extend their winning streak to four and five respectively, while Matthew Tkachuk will return to Calgary – the city where he spent his first six seasons – for the first time since being traded to Florida in the offseason.

  • They are one of four teams to have 10+ wins in November (NJD: 13, BOS: 10 and TOR: 10), already double their wins from last month (5-4-0, 10 points in October). They may become the third team this season to have two different winning streaks of at least five games (also 5 GPs from Oct. 26-Nov. 3), joining the Bruins (7 GPs from Oct. 20-Nov. 3 and 7-21 November) and the Kraken (5 GP from October 29 to November 8 and from November 17 to today).
  • The Kraken have the longest winning streak in the league and can set a new franchise record if they claim their sixth straight win on Tuesday. Seattle has also won its last five road games, improving its record as a visitor to 7-1-1 (.833 P%) – the third-best road point percentage in 2022-23, behind New Jersey. (10-1-0, .909P%) and Vegas (10-1-1, .875P%).
  • Tkachuk, who was selected by the Flames in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft (No. 6 overall), will return to Calgary for the first time since the Panthers acquired him in the offseason in a trade to the blockbuster with Jonathan Huberdeau, which has already made its emotional comeback in South Florida. Tkachuk ranked second in goals (152), assists (230) and points (382) during his tenure with the Flames, from 2016/17 to 2021/22, and left after a career-best season that saw him post 42-62-104. Tkachuk will look for multiple points in each of his first two games against his former club, after going 1-1-2 on Nov. 19.
