Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni malkin could make his season debut against the Anaheim Ducks tonight. Head coach Mike Sullivan said a decision will be made shortly before the game. Malkin, 35, has not played since undergoing right knee surgery in June.

The Russian skated with his teammates for several weeks and recently received the green for contact training. Yesterday in practice, Malkin made the first power play unit. He also trained in the middle of the second line, between Jeff Carter and Kasperi Kapanen.
