Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana has applied for the NHL Player Assistance Program and will be out indefinitely. The 26-year-old Czech had played his club’s first two games before being absent for personal reasons on Monday against the LA Kings. The assistance program was created in 1996 for players and their loved ones who are struggling with mental health and addiction problems in particular. An advisor is available in all cities with an NHL team.
