Unless something unexpected happens, the next National Hockey League (NHL) draft will take place on July 7 and 8, 2022 in Montreal.

This is what TVA Sports network hockey expert Renaud Lavoie said on Thursday afternoon. The Quebec metropolis had already obtained the holding of the amateur auction in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the NHL to hold the event virtually for the past two years.
The NHL had already indicated that the Bell Center would be the scene of the draft at the end of June, but had given no concrete date.
The Habs will have a first-round selection – their own or that of the Arizona Coyotes, depending on the agreement reached as part of the trade bringing Christian Dvorak to Montreal – and 11 in total.
