Having a little skin in the game can make watching NHL hockey even more exciting.

During the 2021-22 season, Daily Faceoff will help you become an improved bettor with this betting model and our betting tools.

Every day we will review every match, sports betting odds (via PointsBet) and odds for every winning team based on the model created by Philippe Boulsink. Based on these two numbers, we can quickly identify which teams to bet on, which teams to avoid and which lines to watch throughout the day.

You can quickly determine which teams are the best bets by following this simple table:

I will also provide best bet analysis and update this post throughout the day to report important news regarding injuries, roster changes and the departure of reserve goalkeepers.

The number to watch is the « Diff ». which is the percentage difference between the projected Win% of the model and the projected Win% based on PointsBet odds. To find out how odds convert to percentages, use our odds calculator.

Arizona Coyotes (vs. WSH)

The Coyotes have lost eight in a row, so trusting them even at +331 is risky. They’re struggling tonight against a Capitals team that has won six of its last eight games by an impressive 5.0 goals for and 3.4 goals against per game.

Yaremchuk’s Pick – Regulation Parlay Minnesota + Washington (+129)

Thanks to another good night, the record for the year now stands at 163-148-3. Up to about nine units. It’s a quiet night in the NHL tonight, but favorites have been ROLLING lately and I think that trend continues tonight. I’m not worried about the Wild playing in the second straight game because they’re staying at home and they’re 28-7-2 at home this season. The Kraken have won three in a row but they’ve all come home and they’re not a good team on the road. Minnesota also has two top goaltenders, which will help them in their second straight game. As for the Capitals, they are coming out of an OTL but are 6-3-1 in their last ten games. They have a lot to play for right now, as a regulation win would put them back in a tie with the Pittsburgh Penguins for third place in the subway. I don’t think they’ll let those points slip away against a Coyotes team that’s won only once in their last ten games.

YYaremchuk prop – Evgeny Kuznetsov assist (-120)

Bless Jeff Skinner for pulling off a juicy +185 assist yesterday! Too bad Claude Giroux couldn’t pick one up and finish the sweep last night. Tonight though, I like to go with Kuznetsov. Not a crazy payout or anything, but he’s had six assists in his last five games and has 53 this season. He has reached that mark in four of his last five and seven of his last ten. I’ll take -120 here since it’s a good game.
