NHL: Colorado pushes Dallas to Game 7

After the offensive explosion of Game 4, the Colorado Avalanche proved Wednesday night that it had finally found the right formula against the Dallas Stars.

Despite a still silent power-play (0 out of 5), Colorado won 4-1 after conceding the first goal of the match (Miro Heiskanen, 18th). Two minutes later, Nikita Zadorov put the two teams tied (1-1, 20th). And it was a little before the middle of the game that rookie defender Cale Makar definitively passed Colorado with his fourth goal of the play-offs.

Nathan MacKinnon then added an assist and a goal to increase his series of matches with at least one point to 15. Frenchie Pierre-Edouard Bellemare played 15’30  » for a shot, two charges and a blocked opponent’s shot.

The decisive Game 7 will take place on Friday. Colorado hasn’t won a Game 7 since the 2002 play-offs and has lost four in a row since. For Dallas, it goes back to 1999, the year of their title, where they had beaten … the Avalanche, 4 wins to 3, in the conference final (3 matches 7 lost since).
