NHL: 40 points in 34 games for Timo Meier – rts.ch
Timo Meier signed his 40th point of the season on Saturday in the NHL. The Appenzeller was credited with an assist in a 2-1 loss after extra time by San Jose against Pittsburgh.
The Sharks opened the scoring in the 8th minute on a success by Rudolfs Balcers. Timo Meier got his 25th assist in this 2021/22 fiscal year on this goal and thus reached the 40-point mark in just 34 games.
Timo Meier has thus regained control in the duel between him and Roman Josi for the title of best Swiss scorer of the season. The Bernese defender had signed his 39th point earlier in the day, in a match also lost after extra time by his Nashville team (4-3 in Boston).
