NFL: Washington football team releases Lamar Miller
The Washington football team released veteran running back Lamar Miller on Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Miller signed a one-season contract with Washington in March after spending the 2020 campaign with the Chicago Bears. The 30-year-old has only played one game with the Bears in 2020, catching two assists for 6-yard gains.
Miller missed the 2019 season with a pre-season knee injury while playing for the Houston Texans.
In eight seasons in the NFL, Miller had 5,864 rushing yards and 1,571 passing yards, in addition to registering 40 touchdowns in 106 games with the Miami Dolphins, Texans and Bears.
