NFL: Philadelphia Eagles acquire Chauncey Gardner-Johnson

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Networkthe Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly acquired safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson through a trade with the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints management’s decision to trade their 24-year-old defensive player came after talks about a contract extension didn’t seem to be going in the right direction.

The native of Cocoa, Florida was drafted by the team in the fourth round of the 2019 auction.

Gardner-Johnson has appeared in 43 games, including 31 starts, since the start of his career, recording 161 tackles, five interceptions and three quarterback sacks.
