Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson was placed on the injury list on Monday after injuring his hamstring against the Carolina Panthers and he will miss a minimum of three games.
Coach Mike Zimmer has said the injury will not end his season. The 11-season veteran is expected to return in the second half of the schedule.
The Vikings (3-3) have started their week off, but the absence of their top cornerback will be felt against Dak Prescott (Dallas), Lamar Jackson (Baltimore), Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) and Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) in their first four games after their break.
Peterson was injured after covering DJ Moore on a through pass with 2:03 in regulation. Peterson fell off line and grabbed the back of his right leg in pain, before needing help leaving the pitch.
