NFL – Football: Chris Carson’s season is over

RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have announced the season is over for running back Chris Carson, who has opted for neck surgery.

There’s a nerve-damaging vertebrae and surgery is the best option, said coach Pete Carroll.

Carson is expected to play in 2022.

Carson hasn’t played since Week 4. He has three touchdowns this season, with 232 yards on 54 carries.

Carson has 24 touchdowns in five years with Seattle. In 2019, he finished fifth in the NFL with 1,230 rushing yards.

The Seahawks are preparing to welcome the Cards from Arizona on Sunday.
