Laquon Treadwell – Receiver – 20 years old – Junior – Ole Miss
Cut : 1m88
Weight : 100 kg
Estimated draft position : 1st round
Stats 2015 : 13 games, 1,153 yards, 11 touchdowns
Main prospect at receiver, Laquon Treadwell is a player who divides opinion. Safety valve for some. Star overrated for others.
From 2013 to 2015, Treadwell was however a safe bet, in the jersey of Ole Miss. A five-star recruit from Chicago, the number 1 was able to justify this figure behind the back with safe hands in key moments.
To do this, Treadwell plays with a template that is as solid as it is slender. And especially reliable hands, especially in the last twenty yards. To top it off, the person concerned is undoubtedly the best blocker in this class of receivers. His good vision finally allows him to garner a bunch of yards after receiving, despite a relative speed.
Because it is the main gray area that concerns the former Rebels player. A lack of speed which could penalize him on the deep routes, to make him only a receiver of possession. It is no coincidence that the main cornerbacks who have put him in difficulty are those of Florida or LSU, players who are generally lively and athletic.
The other aspect not to be overlooked about the player is his state of health. A long ankle injury that did not prevent him from performing in 2015, but which could worry the franchises in the long term.
