NFL: (Buccaneers :) Shaquil Barrett to miss last two games of the regular season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett will miss the last two regular season games with a right knee injury.

He stretched two ligaments on Sunday in a 32-6 win over the Panthers, a victory that earned the Bucs a sectional championship.

Barrett leads his team with 10 sacks, ranking ninth in the NFL in this regard.

Barrett led the league with 19 and a half sacks in 2019.

We remain hopeful that he can be restored before the playoffs, said head coach Bruce Arians.

Tampa Bay will round out the season by taking on the Jets and again Carolina.

Arians has also announced a positive test for COVID-19 in the case of Kevin Garver, the coach of the receivers.
