NFL: Buccaneers deprived of cornerback Richard Shermain for a few weeks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without cornerback Richard Sherman for a few games, who suffers from a thigh injury.

Sherman was injured in the Bucs’ 28-22 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday night. The injury came on game 7 of the team’s first defensive streak, as the 33-year-old chased and tackled wide receiver Quez Watkins, who completed a 23-yard game.

It was Sherman’s third game in 12 days, he who had not played or practiced for a period of 288 days previously.

The Bucs tertiary sector is very messed up. Sean Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis are on the injured list. Jamel Dean also missed a game with a knee injury, but has since made a comeback.

The Bucs are hoping that marauder Antoine Wakefield Jr., who suffered a concussion in Week 4, will be able to get the green light this week to join his teammates.
