NFL: Browns extend Nick Chubb’s contract by three years


CLEVELAND – Running back Nick Chubb has reportedly agreed to a three-season, $ 36.6 million contract extension with the Cleveland Browns, according to a source who spoke to theAssociated Press Saturday night.

Of the $ 36.6 million provided for in the agreement, $ 20 million would be guaranteed according to the source, who requested anonymity since the agreement was still being refined.

Chubb, who has become one of the top running backs in the NFL the past three seasons, was entering the final year of his contract with the Browns, who drafted him in the second round in 2018.

The 25-year-old has become the face of the Browns. His unique racing style and impeccable work ethic made him a crowd favorite.

Chubb had rushing gains of 1,067 yards last season, even though he missed four games with a knee injury. In 2019, he finished second in the NFL with a harvest and 1,494 yards and had 13 touchdowns.

He averaged 10 yards per carry in the fourth quarter last season.

Along with Chubb and Kareem Hunt, the Browns can count on one of the best running backing duos in the NFL.
