NFL: Aaron Rodgers victorious over Tom Brady after a defensive match
Two touchdown passes were enough for Aaron Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers to defeat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14-12 on Sunday afternoon.
A missed after-touchdown convert by the Bucs offense with 14 seconds left in the fourth quarter confirmed the Packers’ 2-1 win.
Tampa (2-1) thus suffered a first setback in this 2022 calendar.
Brady had however managed to methodically lead his unit to the door of the goals, before firing a pass to Russell Gage Jr. for the visitors’ first touchdown.
The 45-year-old general completed 31 of 42 passing attempts, totaling 271 yards through the air. He had three sacks for losses of 20 yards.
For his part, Rodgers has garnered 255 aerial yards, in addition to joining Romeo Doubs and Allen Lazard for majors.
