The San Francisco 49ers are at high risk of being without the services of tight end George Kittle for the first game of the season.
The latter missed several training sessions this week due to a calf injury. Saturday night, Adam Schefter from ESPN indicated that Kittle was unlikely to be in uniform against the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.
The tight end has been plagued by injuries since the start of his career. He had only played eight games in 2020 and last season he played 14 games. He had finished the campaign with 910 yards and six touchdowns.
