Calgary Flames management said they have reached an agreement with the defender oliver Kylington whose case was soon to be submitted to arbitration. The player has agreed to a 2-year contract extension which will earn him USD $5 million. The 25-year-old Kylington scored 31 points in 73 games last year and added 3 points in 12 playoff games.

The Alberta club also offered a one-year, two-part contract extension to the center Martin Pospisil. The 22-year-old Slovak played 47 AHL games last year for 25 points.
