Rask’s Return

Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask, who officially signed a one-year contract with the team on January 11, is set to play in his first game of the season when Boston hosts Philadelphia at TD Garden, in one of 11 games scheduled for Thursday.

Palat’s five goals in 2022 are followed only by Bruins forward Brad Marchand (8-4-12 in 7 GP), Penguins forward Bryan Rust (7-4-11 in 3 GP) and the Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat (6-0-6 in 6 GP) for most NHL goals.
  • Skjei has scored in each of Carolina’s last three games (4-2-6). It was the longest active goal streak among NHL defensemen and one game less than the longest in franchise history by a Hurricanes/Whalers defenseman, achieved by Dougie Hamilton of October 6 to 12, 2019 (4-2-6 in 4 GP).
  • Jeannot, who leads all rookies with 12 goals this season (12-11-23 in 37 GP), has a four-goal streak at home since December 4, 2021 (5-1-6). It’s the longest home scoring streak for a rookie in franchise history.
