Notes :

Kyle connor, in numerical advantage, and Nikolaj Ehlers scored in the first nine minutes of play to quickly give the Winnipeg Jets a two-goal advantage. Except that this advanatge did not last and Ottawa however immediately responded through Brady Tkachuk, then Connor brown at the end of the engagement. After a middle period without much action, Evgenii Dadonov managed to give the Senators a lead for the first time in the game in the 50th, before Tkachuk scored a brace in the 57th. Despite the defeat, Winnipeg remains 2nd in the North section with 1 point ahead of Edmonton.

The 4th in the North section, Montreal, which was only slightly reinforced at the trade deadline with only the arrivals of Jon Merrill and Erik Gustafsson, managed to beat the leader Toronto. The Canadian showed his good face last night: a good start with two quick goals during a first period that he completely dominated. Then the Montrealers were able to remain united despite the equalizer of the Maple Leafs via the inevitable Auston matthews (32nd goal of the season) and John tavares at the 35th. Except that at the 37th, Josh Anderson relaunched Montreal after a redundant descent before Tomas Tatar did not put an end to the Montreal victory in the 57th. Barring a monumental disaster, the Canadian will be involved in the play-offs this spring because he has eight points ahead of Calgary, his closest pursuer.
