The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced the schedule for the 2022/23 regular season, which kicks off in Europe on Friday, October 7, when the Nashville Predators take on the San Jose Sharks in the World Series. 2022 NHL at theO2 Arena from Prague.


The season kicks off in North America on Tuesday, October 11 with a doubleheader that includes the Tampa Bay Lightning visiting the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden and that of the Los Angeles Kings at the Vegas Golden Knights at the Crypto.com Arena.


The following night, Wednesday, October 12, will be devoted to a six-game program, in which the Colorado Avalanche will raise their third Stanley Cup championship banner before facing the Chicago Blackhawks at the ball arena. The other five games on October 12 are: Boston – Washington, Toronto – Montreal, Columbus – Carolina, Vancouver – Edmonton and Seattle – Anaheim.


The regular season schedule of 1,312 games – 82 games per team – will end on April 13.
